“Join me, or be destroyed” is a line prattled out by many countless movie monsters. But is this really a choice? Any decision where one option is death isn’t really a choice. It’s a Hobson’s Choice – where the presenter gives two choices, but only one is actually viable.
So, really, quit pretending this is actually a choice. Of course we’re going to join you. The accessories you offer are just too cool!
Just don’t tell any of your other monster friends about your little threat to destroy us. It sounds like we were coerced into the deal.
