It is a widely known fact within monster communities that little girls are much tastier than little boys. Little girls are, in fact, made up of sugar and spice and pretty much everything nice. And while they are often used in potions or spells and kept as pets, not all monsters enjoy the tastes of frogs, snails, or puppy dog tails – which is what little boys are made of.
Little girls also appeal to a monster’s playful instincts. Little boys might run away or climb a tree, grown-ups pull out a weapon and put up a fight. But little girls? They often just stand in place and scream. It’s like they want the monster to get right up to them before they run. Some monsters can mistake this behavior for game time play, and will run after the little girl and stay on her heels just to tease her – like a puppy or a little boy might do.
The best thing to do in those situations is to turn to the monster, stand firmly with your hands on your hips, and tell him you don’t want to play.
Of course, then you’d have to worry about him just eating you instead.
