There are certain celebrities who have in part created their identity around unique facial characteristics. Be it an easily identifiable comb over or an attractive facial mole, some people are easy to spot across a crowded room or describe to a friend.
However, those very same kinds of physical traits can be a liability to monsters on the run. Only the most confident of sinful creatures like to create legends around the frightfulness of their fang, capes, or surgical scars.
The rest of us prefer to be harder to pick out of a lineup. We skip intimidation by long-standing reputation, and instead use anticipation and confusion to create panicked states of abject terror. Masks, invisibility, hiding inside big trucks, sneaking up behind you only to dissolve into thin air before you can turn around to identify us – we know all the tricks.
“Who is that crazy person chasing after us with butcher knives and a chainsaw?” you ask. Don’t concern yourself with the answer. Just hang low long enough for us to catch up with you.
We won’t show ourselves til the last minute, but we will make our intentions clear enough.
